running

So I finally bought a treadmill. I have been looking for one since November. I thought that if I tell the world that I plan to loose some weight maybe I will stick with it. Wish me luck.

hot water

So, last Thursday, while Mike was in Vegas, Hudson and I were watching tv waiting for bedtime. I heard a bunch of loud popping noises. I was a little freaked out because Mike was gone, and I was sure there was a shoot-out down the street or something. I told Hudson to wait downstairs while I investigated.( Cambree was already asleep upstairs) As soon as I got to the bottom of the stairs I realized that the sound was coming from our laundry room because I heard gushing water. It turns out that our hot water heater was going crazy. I can't believe how much I take for granted such simple things as hot water. I had to heat water in the microwave 2 cups at a time to give Cambree a bath. And then I ended up just giving her a quick little bath in the sink, but still it was such a hassle. Luckily I was headed to my parents house on friday, so I was able to shower there, but I haven't been able to wash my dirty dishes in the dishwasher until tonight. I am very glad that my brother is very handy with stuff like that and he was able to come over last night and try to fix it, but about 20 minutes after he left it started acting up again, so I had to turn it off and go without hot water for one more day. He came back tonight and hopefully fixed the problem for good. I am just really glad that I have a hot water heater in my home. I can't even imagine having to heat water for every little thing.

great to be a boy

So Hudson has been potty trained since december, but he is still kind of new at it, and had not attempted standing up...until yesterday. I followed him up to the bathroom to help him get on the potty and when we got up there, out of no where, he said "I want to stand up like daddy". I thought it was great. Until he started peeing and I don't think that even half of it made it in the toilet. I still think it is a good thing that he wants to try standing up, and I didn't let him know that I was not excited to clean it up, but wow I was not excited to clean that up. He hasn't tried again, but when daddy got home he gave him a little lesson on aiming, so I hope that helps. At least my bathroom got a nice deep clean.

Cambree 9 months

So I just got back from taking Cambree to the doctor for her 9 month appointment. She is doing great. The picture of health. She weighs 18 lbs 14 oz and is 27 and 3/4 inches. That puts her in the 52% for weight...down from the 94% at 6 months. My little chubby is not so chubby anymore.

profound

I want to update my blog more often, and I always think of very profound things to say when I am laying in bed at night, but then the next morning I get up and can't remember a damn thing I thought of. But at least I can say that I updated my blog today.

Huds & Cam

My kids are pretty cheesy...that is why I love them.

My year so far

I am horrible about updating this thing. I always forget about it. So I thought I would get on here and write a little bit.
Hudson is a big boy now. He is completely potty trained. He gave up his binkie along with a slightly embarrassing security object...my belly. He use to rub my belly to soothe himself. But that went away with the binkie. I am so glad. He is working on falling asleep in his own bed, but he is kind of struggling with that. He loves watching American Idol. He wants Mike and I to be Simon and Paula while he sings "you are my sunshine" and the "abc song". He knows all of his letters and is starting to practice writing them. He can count to 11 everytime and with a little help to 19.
Cambree is 9 months now. She does the army crawl that Hudson did, and she is starting to pull up and walk across furniture. Hudson has a little chair that she stands up on and pushes all over the room. Her little personality is really starting to shine through.
Mike is busy as always. I think he really likes his job. I am so happy that he is finally at a job that he likes. We have been married for 5 years on the 30th and this is the first time that he has liked his job. It is a welcomed change.
We are currently debating whether to sell our house and buy a bigger house. The low house prices and low interest rates are very inticing. Plus the fact that Cambree's crib is in our room is kind of a push for a bigger house. I think we have decided to wait at least a couple of months to see if we can pay off some debt and then go from there. In the mean time we are planning a couple of very small projects to improve the value of our house.
Well, I can say that everyone is updated. Enjoy.
